Aladdin is able to offer competitive discounts on products purchased in bulk quantities as either individual or multiple items. Discounts are typically applied at five times the standard unit size and progressively rise as the quantity increases.

How do I place an order?

Ordering of Aladdin products is handled by Aladdin Company. We accept orders online via Aladdin-e.com, offline by telephone, fax, email, mail or purchasing departments, and through our extensive distributor network.

Online: We encourage you to browse our site and add products to your cart. Click checkout to complete your order. To place an order online you will need to register for an account.

Offline: To place an order by telephone, email or mail please visit our contact us page for the relevant information. Please note that contact information varies depending on your location.

Purchasing Department: To place an order through your purchasing department click the print quote button in your cart. A quotation form will appear, which will be accepted as an order if received by Aladdin.

What is a purchase order number?

Any claim for credit or return goods request must be made within ten (10) days of receipt. Custom, non-standard catalog and non-catalog orders are ineligible for cancellation or return. A return authorization (“Return Authorization”) must be obtained from Aladdin’ Customer Service for all returns. Aladdin will not accept, and no credit will be issued, without a Return Authorization.

Upon receipt of authorized returned products, a credit for the original purchase price less the Returned Products Charge and the original shipping and handling charge ("Partial Credit") will be issued. To obtain a Partial Credit, products must be returned within sixty (60) days of receiving a Return Authorization.

If an error by Aladdin results in shipment of an incorrect order, Aladdin will, at its sole option, either ship a replacement order at no charge or credit your account for the purchase price of the original product shipped in error plus shipping charges. If an error by you results in the shipment of an incorrect order and is reported to Aladdin within ten (10) days, you may obtain a Return Authorization and return the product(s) for Partial Credit.

 Batch numbers (or Lot number)

Batch numbers can be found at the top of the product data sheet, or on the vial label, as a 1, 2 or 3 digit number, to the left of a letter. The numbers to the right of this letter are for internal use only. For example, in the case 15A/466444, 15 identifies the batch number.

Chemical Abstracts Registry (CAS) numbers

The Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) number is a unique identification code assigned to a chemical substance by the American Chemical Society. While these are given as accurately as possible they may not always reflect the salt or level of hydration of the product supplied.

Molecular weights

The molecular weight displayed in our catalog represents the product as determined by its chemical structure.For further information, including molecular weight variation between batches, please visit our molecular weight support page.

Stereochemistry

Where specific stereochemistry is indicated in a diagram, the product is supplied in the conformation shown. When products are supplied as mixtures of stereoisomers, for clarity only one form is shown. The existence of both enantiomers in a product is indicated by the notation 'and enantiomer'.

Weighing accuracies

The quantity of compound supplied in our vials is not weighed to the accuracy required for direct solution preparation unless specifically stated on the product datasheet. It is the responsibility of the individual researcher to accurately reweigh the compound in order to obtain solutions of defined concentration.

Purity

The purity displayed in the technical data section of our online product information pages is the minimum content of the active ingredient that any given batch will contain. Minor batch variations, which have no effect on the biological properties of the material, may take place due to manufacturing processes.

Bioactive chemical purity

Aladdin bioactive chemicals are of high purity, typically > 99% by HPLC. For purity of an individual product please consult the batch-specific certificate of analysis (CoA).

Isotopic purity

Isotopic purity is the percentage of stable isotope in the product.

Peptide purity

Unless otherwise stated, peptides supplied by Aladdin have a purity of > 95%. For purity of an individual product please consult the batch-specific certificate of analysis (CoA).

Quality control

Chemical purity is assessed using an array of techniques including HPLC, chiral HPLC, NMR, microanalysis, high voltage electrophoresis, melting point, optical rotation, TLC, and mass spectrometry as appropriate. All data is kept on file and available for inspection on request - please contact us for details. We believe that the purity of any material supplied by Aladdin will match or exceed the purity of the product originally reported in the scientific literature.

The half-life (t½) of a drug in vivo is the time taken for its concentration in plasma to decline to half its original level. When this information is known for an Aladdin compound we publish it in the product biological description. Due to the novelty of some Aladdin products, this information may not be available in the published literature. Therefore, we may not always be able to provide a definitive value for the half-life of these products.

Every precaution should be taken when handling any Aladdin product. We will provide all possible advice and assistance concerning the safe handling of our products. As research chemicals, the potential hazards are often not known and an absence of warning does not mean that no hazard exists. It is the users' responsibility to ensure that relevant safety precautions are taken at all times. Product safety data sheets (SDS) are available online for all products and contain information relating to their safe handing.

Vial opening instructions

The majority of products are supplied in glass vials with a screw top lid. During transit, material may accumulate in the vial top. This can be dislodged by gently tapping the vial before opening. Some products are shipped in glass ampoules. Caution must be exercised when opening these. We recommend wearing gloves and safety goggles. To open, cover the ampoule with a cloth and place thumbs on score line; apply gentle pressure away from the body and snap the vial open.

Product use

All our products are intended for research use only. They must not under any circumstances be used for human, drug, food, cosmetic, agricultural, domestic or any other purpose.

The molecular weight displayed in the technical data section of our online product information pages represents the product as determined by its chemical structure. During the manufacturing process it is common for solvents, such as water and ethanol, to be incorporated into the product. The degree to which this occurs can vary from batch to batch and as a consequence the molecular weight of the material supplied can change. Batch molecular weight variations should not affect the basic pharmacological properties of the compound but will affect any concentration calculations carried out. Solutions should only be made up using the batch specific molecular weight derived from: the product vial label;the certificate of analysis (CoA) / product information sheet - available online. Bioactive chemical stability and storage

Due to the novelty of many of our products, information concerning product stability has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide. When information is known we do our best to publish this in the catalog or on the data sheets that accompany our products. Our standard storage recommendations are as follows:

Solid: Provided storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 6 months.

Solution: We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Wherever possible, solutions should be made up and used on the same day. Before use, and prior to opening the vial, it is recommended that the product be allowed to stand at room temperature for at least 60 minutes.

In all cases refer to the datasheet as conditions vary for different products.

Peptide stability and storage

Peptides are provided in lyophilized form and should be stored dessicated at -20°C. Long-term storage of peptides in solution is not recommended.

Short periods of high temperature

Short periods at higher temperatures than recommended (periods < 1 week), such as can occur during shipping, will not significantly affect product life or efficacy.For further information, please visit our temperature during shipping support page.

Special products stability and storage

Some Special products must not be stored at -20°C as freezing has an adverse effect on the stability of the formulation. Provided that the vial is kept tightly sealed, protected from exposure to light and stored at +4°C, the product should be stable for 1 month from the date of dispatch.

 The certificate of analysis (CoA) documents together with safety data sheets (SDS) are available online. To find them locate the relevant product information page. The default CoA and SDS are always for the batch currently on sale; A copy of the SDS will not be included with each individual product when shipped.

Aladdin products are not weighed out under sterile conditions. In order to obtain a sterile solution we would recommend that you make up the solution and then filter it using a 0.2 μm microfilter.

Some products, especially those supplied in small quantities or as lyophilized solids, may be difficult to visualise. These products may appear as a clear, thin film on the bottom and walls of the vial.

Many of our products are refrigerated or frozen for long-term storage. Short periods at higher temperatures than those recommended (periods < 1 week), such as during shipping, will not significantly affect the product life or efficacy.

Hazard information for each product is assessed using various toxicology databases. This information is then interpreted according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.

This will be the name by which the product is most commonly known.

3. Molecular Formula

This is the molecular formula of the product.Except consumable products.

5. Unit size

The quantity of compound supplied in our vials is not weighed to the accuracy required for direct solution preparation unless specifically stated on the product datasheet. This is the batch number of the product.

7. Molecular weight

Product molecular weights are subject to batch variations. Customers should always use the molecular weight stated on the vial label and accompanying product datasheet.
